Project Introduction:
The Kunming Baiyukou Water Treatment Plant project is designed with a daily treatment capacity of 10,000 cubic meters. For its advanced treatment section, the project adopts the Dynasand Filter process, an advanced continuous sand filtration technology widely recognized for its stable operation and high filtration efficiency.
The Dynasand system belongs to the up-flow moving-bed filtration category and offers the key advantage of continuous sand cleaning without requiring shutdowns for backwashing. Compared with conventional filtration systems, this technology effectively eliminates the efficiency loss caused by intermittent backwash cycles, ensuring uninterrupted filtration performance and stable effluent quality.
During operation, wastewater flows downward through the filter bed while the filter media continuously circulates upward. After being regenerated in the internal sand washing zone, the clean sand is automatically returned to the filtration area for reuse. This continuous filtration process efficiently removes suspended solids (SS), total nitrogen (TN), and total phosphorus (TP), while simultaneously reducing effluent turbidity to consistently low levels.
The system also features low operational energy consumption, reduced maintenance requirements, and reliable long-term performance.
